Carrots
The dehydration process permits the carrots to maintain their orange color
and typical fresh carrot taste when re-hydrated in water. The nutritional
qualities of fresh carrots are preserved in MDV’s air-dried or Puffed
Dehydrated Carrots. Puffed Dehydrated Carrots have a much faster rehydration
time of 3 – 5 minutes in a microwave compared to the standard air
dried carrots with a 20 minute simmer.
Popular applications:
Instant soup mixes, sauces, snack dips, rice mixes, vegetable side dishes
and casseroles. Puffed carrots are an excellent snack food or salad topping.
